Secure Your Passwords!

Security is an important feature of accessing applications across the Internet. Many organizations today are implementing increasingly, more stringent security requirements regarding the use of user accounts and passwords, which can often be confusing. Using complex passwords and changing them often, reduces the likelihood that someone will be able to compromise your password.

To easily remember your complex password, try using a “passphrase.” Instead of just a word, replace one or more of the letters with a symbol that is similar. For example, instead of the password “spot” - which could be easy to guess - you could use the passphrase “mY d0gs n@me is 5pot”. You have now created a 20 character passphrase with letters, numbers and a couple of symbols that is easy to remember, but virtually impossible to crack.

In this edition of The LoadSpring Connection we focus on how we’re enhancing our hosting capabilities and support system – all in an effort to help you do your job better, faster and smarter.

Over the last year, we’ve made several upgrades to the CAM Console including:

  • Electronic Data Transfer Module - Allows system administrators to schedule their own backups of data to a secure location of their choice, which simplifies data restorations from the customer side
  • Custom Branding Wizard - Enables administrators to change the look of the CAM Console on demand without having to be a graphic artist
  • Offsite Electronic Data Recovery Services - Implemented at a second data center facility
  • Enhanced System Security - Features such as URL obfuscation, web server authentication separation and increased networking segregation
  • Code to .NET - Migrated all CAM Console development code to .NET infrastructure to make delivering new functionality more streamlined and secure

In addition to product upgrades, we’ve also enhanced our support team by promoting Mike Kennedy to Vice President of Technical Operations. This expanded role will allow Mike to take further advantage of his vast IT experience and expertise to ensure that LoadSpring continues to provide you with unmatched technical support. We are also pleased to announce the addition of Michael Thompson as our new Director of Corporate Sales. Please join us in welcoming Michael to our team.
