Employee Spotlight: Michael Foresteire, Executive Director of Finance

In the world of business, numbers often tell the most compelling stories. For Michael Foresteire, Executive Director of Finance at LoadSpring, his passion for numbers has been a defining characteristic throughout his career. With a business degree from the University of Lowell and a clear affinity for finance and management, Michael’s journey to his current role has been marked by strategic moves and a genuine knack for leading people.
At LoadSpring, Michael is responsible for the finance and accounting teams, ensuring that they not only are committed to enhancing the financial operations of the company, but always have an eye toward how their efforts benefit LoadSpring’s customers. “Like all the departments at LoadSpring, our team follows the same motto: Customers First,” explains Michael. His team’s efficiency and responsiveness are key to ensuring that LoadSpring’s financial operations run smoothly, which, in turn, supports the company’s broader goals and enables further investment in technology and human capital.
Michael’s career began in retail, but he quickly found his way into finance, starting with a role in banking as a branch manager. His desire to focus more on the financial aspects of business led him to pursue roles that combined his love for numbers with his growing management skills. As he moved through various roles in different industries, Michael’s ability to lead and manage diverse teams became a hallmark of his career. Whether he was working as a credit analyst or stepping into a business manager role at a law firm, Michael consistently sought out opportunities to grow and refine his management skills.
The turning point in Michael’s career came when he joined LoadSpring for the first time, working his way up to Vice President of Finance and Operations. During this period, he oversaw accounting, HR, administration, and contracts, among other responsibilities. His time at LoadSpring was marked by significant growth, both for him personally and for the company. However, after a few years, Michael decided to explore new opportunities, taking on various roles at other companies. Despite these experiences, LoadSpring remained close to his heart.
In 2020, an unexpected LinkedIn message from LoadSpring prompted Michael to consider returning. After reconnecting with former colleagues, he decided it was time for a reunion. Since then, he has been back at LoadSpring, this time focused solely on finance. “I really love my job,” Michael shares, crediting his satisfaction to the strong team he leads. “You are only as good as the people around you,” he adds, highlighting his appreciation for the talented individuals on his team.
In addition to his professional achievements, Michael is particularly proud of the strong, responsive culture he has helped foster within his department. This culture of responsiveness extends to both internal and external customers, ensuring that inquiries are addressed promptly, orders are processed efficiently, and customer needs are met with precision. Michael and his team are always looking for ways to improve and remove points of friction for customers, with an eye towards their unique financial requirements.
When it comes to LoadSpring’s Cloud Platform, Michael sees it as a significant value-add for customers. “What we allow our customers to do is manage multiple applications from one sole location, from anywhere in the world,” he explains. With LoadSpring’s platform, businesses can host, support, and manage all their critical applications in one centralized cloud environment. Be it internal stakeholders, external customers, or LoadSpring’s underlying technology, Michael and his team works diligently to improve efficiency and effectiveness for all.
